IN MEMORY OF AIR INDIA BOEING 787-8 (VT-ANB)
Hello everyone ! This particular flight report is over 4 years old however,I decided to share it with you all because this particular Flight Report of mine remains as the one and only 4K Flight Report of the Air India 787-8 (VT-ANB) the aircraft that was involved in the incident in Ahmedabad in 2025.
This will be just a memory post which I would like to leave here for future generations to watch a beautiful piece of history.As an Avgeek I may deslike or like the airlines and their services however,one thing that I will always love regardless are Aircrafts and Aviation in general.
I hope you all enjoy this short flight report of mine onboard Air India flight AI 499 a short 30 minutes or so hop from DEL to JAI,which also happens to be the shortest dreamliner flight I have ever flown.

Not the biggest fan of the artificial intelligence images, but oh well. Very sad to read knowing what happened 1 year ago.
Me neither but I just wanted to make the images of this aircraft clear and crisp because now it only remains as part of the history so I did my best to make it appear as clear,crisp and beautiful as possible...Thanks for watching !
I have seen hour flights on the 787, but 30 minutes?? Thats a record
Is there that much demand? Air India Express would have likely made more sense on this short of a route
Hi,Thanks for watching and to answer your question about the demand then this particular flight was basically a ferry flight to JAI that further flew to DXB so this particular flight was not full it was even less than what would be considered half so despite the demand a 787 or 777 on such short route is never viable its just that this aircraft was ferried to JAI to further fly to DXB and back which is the real traffic sector.
Similarly we use to have a 787-8 service to and from my homebase LKO as well which were basically ferry flights and had very low load but the main route that they got filled up was LKO-DXB-LKO however,AI has discontinued these routes now cause the mighty IndiGo has gotten almost all the routes filled up so AI and others have no chance.
