Hi everyone,
my boyfriend and I were looking at opportunities to fly the Boeing 757-300 once again. Since I am based in Hamburg for now, Condor offers many flights with that aircraft type and PMI is a sure option to get this aircraft.
We booked the flights roughly 8 hours before take-off. A last minute decision to spend 3 days on the island before flying back to Germany, HAM-PMI was booked on Condor Airlines and for the flight back we selected PMI-BRE on German airline Sundair.
The HAM-PMI leg was booked in Economy Class for me and included hand baggage + hold baggage, for only 60 EUR. My boyfriend had the Economy Light ticket for 40 EUR with only a small hand bag included.

The online check-in process allocated me automatically on an aisle seat for free. I was not happy about the outcome and decided to redo the check-in by paying 5 EUR to change my seat to a window seat (18F). My boyfriend was on a different booking number and got a window seat for free.
Be aware that some seats on this aircraft do not have windows (eg. seats 21 and 22 do not have windows). 18F had 2 nice windows along with an engine view.
After a few hours of sleep, I was early at the Terminal 1 in order to proceed to the check-in.

The waiting time at the check-in was short with only a few groups/families in front of me. The lady at the check-in counter asked if I had the QR code issued from the form of the Spanish health authority . Luckily I found out about it a few hours before and was ready for this step, unlike some other people at the check-in counter next to me.

We headed to the security check point with hardly any waiting time.
A few food & drinks shops were open.

Not much going on airside and plenty of available seats.

Here is our ride for the flight. Boeing 757-300 registered D-ABOM and 20 years at the time of the flight.

Another DE Boeing 757-300 is heading to HER.

Boarding was ready and announcements were made to board per group of rows.
We boarded the plane at the second door.

My seat 18F. The load on this flight was average and it turned out that I had 3 seats for me.

The seat pitch is large enough for me on this 2.5 hours flight.

The literature pocket is located in the upper position of the seat.

It contains the usual safety card and sickness bag

My seat is located next to the right engine.

We left on time and departed runway 33.

Left turn after departure to head for Spain.

It seems like we are flying over Uetersen-Heist airfield.

Crossing the Elbe river.

Afterwards it was overcast for a while.

No buy on board magazine was available and an announcement was made for drinks (3 EUR), snacks and the snack bag (6.50 EUR).
I didn't buy anything.
The seat reclining.

IFE is located in the aisle and shows cartoons.

Music and movie channels can be switched on the headrest instead of the usual armrest.

Finally the weather improved over the South of France to enjoy nice views.

The winglet displays Condor's logo.

Finally we reached Palma de Mallorca. Firstly a view on the bay of Pollença.

Then bay of Alcudia.

We had to reach the West side of the runways which was a good opportunity for a view of the airport and the main city of Palma (North of the airport).

West side of the island: Palma city, airport and El Arenal.

The Maioris Decima and Puigderrós area.

Approach by the sea side.

Landing was bumpy.

After exiting the runway we taxied next to Privilege Style B752 supporting Sevilla football team.

FR B738, UX B738, EW A320s

Tui Belgium B738

We were asked to deboard per group of rows.
Last view of our plane before its next flight to Germany.

The walk towards the baggage claim was a bit long. There was a check point were passengers could fill the form for the Spanish Health department, if they didn't have the QR code yet.
We were not in a rush to get to the baggage claim and our luggage was already available when we arrived in that area.

Our hotel was not too far from the airport. We decided to take the airport bus A2 towards El Arenal.
Finally our flight path according to Flightradar24.

Thanks for sharing this FR
A pleasure to fly such a beauty for an avgeek, maybe still not being in service for a long time
Gorgeous pictures all along the flight
See you soon
Thanks Gilbert for stopping by! It was a pleasure to take pictures especially the air to ground ones.
Thanks for sharing this review of Condor's beautiful 753 in the Covid-Era. It really is a beautiful aircraft and Condor have kept the interior looking fresh despite the age of this bird. It's been interesting to see how different carriers have handled in-flight services in times of Covid. In this case, DE have continued to offer a limited BOB service (with no menus for sanitary reasons), where many other carriers have dropped BOB temporarily.
Beautiful photos and planespotting throughout ?
Thanks so much for sharing!!
Hi Kévin, thank you for your comment!
The BOB sales were probably not successful, but at least the BOB is available which is a step forward for aviation travel!
Thanks for this FR.
Great price at such a short notice, and the load didn't seem too bad either.
This is one fine looking plane and getting rarer and rarer.
Hope Condor makes it ok out of this crisis.
Thank you Etienne for your comment.
The load was good considering the current situation. Most passengers had the middle seat free.
