Welcome everyone to this tripreport aboard ANA's Domestic B787-8 service. For many years now, ANA has been awarded the 5 star Airline award by Skytrax. This Tripreport can give an insight on whether ANA does deserve this award.
Here is the Tripreport

I arrived at the airport 2Hrs before the flight departed. I used a bus that transports passengers from Shinjuku Station to Tokyo Haneda. The airport is well connected throughout the city.
Once I entered the airport, I headed to the check-in counter. This is when I found out that my flight will not be operated by a B777-300 but it will be operated by a 787-8. I was disappointed because I was not able to review their product.
The check-in was fast and efficient and I went to the security check.
This is the departure board for the domestic flights for the day.
Just in front of the security check, there lie my gate. Gate 63.
Some pictures of the terminal. The airport is very clean and well maintained.
The boarding pass is rather flimsy and low quality. The boarding passes is the most important piece of paper but the quality of the paper makes it easy to lose the sheet.
Some plane spotting before we board the flight.
This B787-8 is going to Okinawa
A star alliance livery A320 to Matsuyama
A Air do B767 to Naha
And our flight a B787-8 to Osaka Itami. Our plane is only a 2 month old plane at the time of writing the tripreport.
Boarding began on time. We scanned our boarding passes on the DYI scanner.
I got a glimpse of the business class cabin and in my opinion it did not look that great.
I found my seat and I was disappointed to find out that there is no Seatback entertainment available.
My seat did however include a Music system which came with a pointless remote. The seat also had a good recline, which is good because the flight was 75% empty.
The seatback content included:
a branded sickness bag
a safety information card
a service information book
an In-flight magazine
and a ANA sky shop catalogue
The FA then distributed some playing cards for my children. Most airlines would not do this in such short haul flights.
They did however have a overhead TV that played a Japanese show. It would have been better if I had known Japanese.
As I was sitting in the middle seat. I did not get take-off pictures. We took off 15 Mins late.
Just after the flight took off, the FA started the drinks service. We had a choice of fresh juices. No Aerated drinks or Alcohol is served during the entire flight. I chose Apple juice.
Some cabin pictures after the drinks service ended.
The seat also included a fluffy blanket.
Like all other B787-8, This flight also has Wi-Fi.
35 Mins later we arrived at Itami airport.
A final View of the economy and business class seats.
We went to the baggage belts soon after. Our belt was the first one. There were not a lot of flights to Itami on that Day.
We exited the no return land and entered the main check-in area.
Osaka Itami is also well connected with all parts of Osaka. We took the bus to Osaka Station.

Great report, but the Star Alliance livery aircraft is a B767 and Air Do usually fly to Hokkaido not Naha.
