Hello everybody, this report will cover a series of flights to Asia. The first part will be starting with this LX3627 report from Munich to Zurich. When I booked the ticket in January, this flight was schedule to be operated by CRJ-900, but when I checked the flight information a month later, it was already switched to Fokker100.
According to the news, Lufthansa is leasing two Fokker 100 aircrafts from Helvetic Airways, to support its operation at Munich in summer 2018. The leased Fokker 100 will operate the routes to Amsterdam, Wroclaw and Zurich from Munich from 25 March to 28 October 2018.
On the day of flight we took the S-Bahn and arrived Munich airport at 16:35pm. We quickly checked our luggages and proceeded to the security check. Security was almost empty and we were through in no time.
Mini Cooper demonstration.
After spending some times in the duty free shops, we headed directly to the gate.
My plane, HB-JVH finally showed up at 17:41pm and I was so excited to board this Fokker 100 aircraft. This plane served several airlines in 27 years, and delivered to Helvetic Airways in June 2010.
Gate 34, this flight was operated by Helvetic Airways on behalf of Lufthansa, also codeshare with Swiss and All Nippon Airways.
Boarding started at 18:23pm.
Ready to embark the aircraft.
The rear part of the cabin. The aircraft is equipped with 100 seats in 2-3 seat configuration.
The seat map of Helvetic Airways Fokker 100.
My seat 17A. The seat was very comfortable and provided approximately 33 inches seat pitch.
Cabin during boarding
Snacks were distributed as passengers entered the aircraft.
View outside my window
the overhead panel, which was very classic.
Pushback was started at 18:37pm
Taxing to runway.
Eventually we took off at 18:44pm from RWY08R. The engine was roaring very loud as the aircraft started to accelerate. Probably this is the disadvantage of mounting the engines at the back of the fuselage. It can be noticed that the flaps were not deployed during take off.
About 5 minutes after takeoff, I visited the lavatory at the back. Judging from the view of the cabin, I assumed the loading was about 60%.
Toilet somehow showed its age.
Seat pocket items.
The magazine content includes some technical facts about the Fokker 100.
Passing through Bodensee.
A complimentary drink was served and I opted for coke.
At 18:58pm the descend into Zurich was announced and a few minutes later seatbelt sign was on again.
Final approach!
Our plane touched down on RWY at 19:17pm, the total flight time was 33 minutes.
Taxing to the parking position.
Our plane parked at a remote gate at the north of terminal E. A bus connection was necessary.
The bus will take us to terminal A.

Conclusion
It was a really valuable experience for me to fly with such vintage aircraft even through the flight time was that short. Despite this is a 27 years old aircraft, the cabin was maintained very well, very clean and cozy.

Thanks for this FR. It's a treat to fly on a F100 nowadays, and Helvetic's aircrafts are really neat on the inside, with that red carpet and good pitch.
