Background
Chinese New Year 2023.
During the CNY break, I decided to visit my younger sister studying in London. Since my parents were long-time Marco Polo members of Cathay Pacific, I would be flying CX to London from Taipei, with a stopover in Hong Kong. Now, here goes.

Taipei-Taoyuan International Airport (TPE)
I arrived the airport around 11am and as you can expect, the airport is packed with other people waiting to travel overseas for the holidays. The queue for the Cathay Pacific counter seemed long and dreaded, but I did not expect the queue to move that quickly. There were several open check-in counters that helped accelerated the queue a little.
After the faster-than-expected queue and clearing security check and customs, it's off to the gate with me.
Gate B6. Not far from the customs. There was one hour to kill, and I decided to just go straight to the gate to chill out and do a little plane spotting.
The ride of the day: 777-300ER. Takes off at 13:20.

So yeah. 1 hour later, here I am in Hong Kong for a 6 hour stopover before continuing my journey to LHR. See you for the next flight report!

A hot meal on a 1.5h flight in Y …nowhere else but Asia! Fantastic service for such a short flight. Nice to see another review showing CX maintaining high levels of service post-pandemic.

What an interesting report! I always read positive reviews about Asian carriers around here, especially Cathay Pacific.
That "quick bite" looks delicious!
I never heard about Caticlan, before. I will do more research. Looks like an interesting destination. I loved Royalair's livery!
I would like to suggest you correct the times for take-off and arrival. I see a flight time of 22 hours and 49 minutes there. lol
Also, it's advisable to write the descriptions above the photos. This way you need to scroll up and down a lot less as you read the report.
