The long flight from hong kong to paris!
Earlier Reports:
TPE-HKG: https://flight-report.com/en/report/65633/cathay-pacific-cx451-taipei-tpe-hong-kong-hkg/
Background:
After I disembarked from the TPE-HKG flight, I proceeded to the transfer area in Hong Kong airport. There was a bit of a queue at the security check, but the process was efficient, so I passed the security quicker than I thought.

CX261 will depart from HKG at 00:05hrs, so I have some time to settle myself in a lounge.
Chase Sapphire Lounge

I went to the Chase Sapphire Lounge for supper. Delicious food options aplenty and a great place to chill and wait for your next flight! The only drawback is that there are no showers.
Boarding
The boarding gate was not far from the lounge, just a 5 minute walk.

The Gate

CX261 to Paris, departing from gate 46.

My ride for the night: a 777-300ER with the big OneWorld livery.

Boarding in a smooth and timely manner.
The Flight

Premium Economy!

My seat is in the second row to the right.

In-flight menu. SInce I was very tired, I fell asleep shortly after taking off, so I did not eat anything… until few hours before we arrived in Paris.

Woke up a few hours later, and I decided to go for some snacks.

The first is egg tart. It tastes fine, but it crumbled way too easily.

Their instant chicken noodles, very much like Nissin Cup Noodles.

About an hour or two later, the lights went on and breakfast was served. I went for Western breakfast…as usual for all long flights.

Beginning our descent into Paris-CDG in the early hours.

Disembarking from the plane, and off to the Arrival area with me.

The Saudia 787 right beside me.
After a long, tedious queue in the immigration, I got me a G7 and went straight to the city!

After a quick shower in the hotel and a change of clothes, I went to Le Train Bleu to have lunch.
It's been a long time since I've seen a review on CX Premium Economy so it's nice to see!
A departure time at midnight is rough! I can imagine you weren't the only passenger who slept through the first meal. Good on Cathay for doing a full meal service (based on the menu) at such a late hour, while many airlines just do a quick snack or light meal on such late flights.
Typical CDG during early morning hours....always a mess.
