After arriving from Hong Kong, the shuttle bus took me to the Transfer A concourse of the terminal, where I passed through another security check.
Since I had more than 4 hours left until the next flight, I went to the Al Maha Lounge. First of all I went straight for a shower. The lounge was really small and overcrowded but I still managed to find a seat to take a rest.
Food and drink selection was also limited but better than nothing.
About 30 minutes before the boarding time, I left the lounge and headed towards the gate. My gate to Muncih was assigned at C53 which is located at the other side of the terminal.
I had to take the people mover to the other side of the concourse.
The Orchard, this indoor tropical garden was opened in 2022. Pretty much similar to The Jewel in Singapore Changi Airport.
There were already lots of passenger waiting at the gate.
Boarding was started at 8:00am. However there was no boarding sequence and we just went to the queue for economy class. The bus took us to the east of the apron, where my plane was parked, at G2. And here was my plane to Munich today. B787-9, A7-BHB, delivered to Qatar Airways in September 2019.
Once I boarded the aircraft, the cabin was very hot, despite the window blinds were all dimmed. My seat 27A, this is the last row of the front economy class section.

Pillow, blanket, ear phone and hygiene kit were placed on the seat.

At 9:08am, pushback was initiated.
While we were taxing to the runway, we could see the construction work for the terminal expansion.
Entering the runway. Something that I noticed was that we did not utilize the full runway, just 4/5 of the runway length. There was also another Qatar plane waiting for takeoff at the end of the runway.
We took off at 9:32am.
Doha Diplomatic Area.
Lusail Stadium. This was where the final of the World Cup 2022 Argentina vs France was played.
Lusail International Circuit.
Al Bayt Stadium
AI Khor.
Umm Garn Airport
About 13 minutes after takeoff, I decided to watch the Fantastic Beasts movie, however there was again the issue with the phone jack, and I had to pull the cable so that I can hear the sound. About 15 minutes later, the IFE of the whole plane had to be restarted to fix some problems.
Tarout Bay in Saudi Arabia.
About one hour into the flight, snacks of pretzels were served, and I opted for a Gin Tonic.
By that time, we had passed through Persian Gulf into Iraq. It was quite cloudy and we could not see the land below.
River Tigris

At 11:19am, as we were flying west of Erbil, lunch was served. I took the chicken option with white wine as the drink.
An Emirates A380 was flying above of us, EK29 from Dubai to London.
We could also spot some snow mountain as were entering Türkiye.
Some rivers, but I could not identify it.
Batman Dam in Türkiye.
As we continued flying over Türkiye, we could see more snow mountains.
At 12:15pm, couple of minutes after the tray was collected, I visited the toilet.
Cabin view while cruising.
I then fell asleep for an hour and woke up at 13:30pm. At you can see there were still some problems with the IFE, the flightmap still looked burr.
A few minutes later, I got a KitKat from the crew.
At about 14:25pm, our captain announced that we were going to descend in a few minutes, and landing would be expected in 45 minutes. Temperature in Munich was 4°C.
More snow mountains were seen as we were flying over Austria.
Reflection over the Chiemsee.
At 13:02pm, we landed on Munich Airport. Total flight time was 5 hours 30 minutes.
Reaching our final parking position in terminal one.
